- August 19: FMSA Produce Safety Rule vs. Audit Programs by Dr. Erin DiCaprio, Associate Professor of Cooperative Extension in Community Food Safety, UC Davis. (YouTube recording, 29:41 min.) - September 16: Are You Exempt? A Guide to FSMA Produce Safety Rule Exemptions and Qualified Exemptions by Dr. Don Stoeckel, Produce Safety Alliance at Cornell University. Provides background on the exemptions and qualified exemptions from the FSMA PSR.
- October 21: CDFA FSMA Inspection Processes by Angela Terrazas, Senior Environmental Scientist · California Department of Food and Agriculture. Angela will talk about the process of engaging with CDFA for FSMA compliance. From initial contact, phone call, scheduling inspections, what to expect on day of inspection, results of inspection, re-inspection.
- November 18: FSMA Produce Safety Rule Processing Exemptions by Dr. Erin DiCaprio, Associate Professor of Cooperative Extension in Community Food Safety, UC Davis. Provide an overview and give examples of what types of documentation will be required in applying a processing exemption from the FSMA Produce Safety Rule.
- January 20: FSMA Produce Safety Rule Pre-Harvest Agricultural Water by Donna Clements, Produce Safety Alliance Coordinator and NE Regional Extension Associate, Cornell University. This webinar will include a presentation of the new requirements for Pre-Harvest Agricultural Water (Subpart E) in the FSMA Produce Safety Rule and compliance dates, and a discussion of new or revised PSA resources.
